Director, Indigenous Community Engagement

The Director of Indigenous Community Engagement will support and strengthen our existing community engagement and stewardship activities. The successful candidate will support respectful and effective Indigenous community relations while collaborating with the incredible team of Water First’s staff, from water scientists and engineers to educators and specialists in communications, fundraising, finance, and human resources.

Part-Time Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant (“EA”) provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The EA serves as the primary point of contact on many matters relating to the office of the Executive Director. The EA also serves as a liaison to contacts and other team members; organizes and coordinates external relations efforts and oversees special projects. The EA will champion Water First’s brand and demonstrate commitment and involvement in Water First’s mission through participation in our charitable work, social and environmental programs, and events.

Technical Trainer and Project Coordinator (5 Positions)

Our team is expanding, and we are currently adding five (5) new Technical Trainer and Project Coordinator positions to our team, reporting to the Director, Operations. Our Environmental and Drinking Water Internship programs focus on addressing the gap in access to water science training in Indigenous communities by integrating technical training with hands-on, project-based learning in partner communities.

Education Program Assistant

Our Indigenous School Water programs focus on empowering Indigenous students and creating a passion for water science through hands-on workshops, outdoor education, and project-based learnings. Project development and delivery are done in collaboration with school and community partners to address specific community priorities. This position will support the development and expansion of our Indigenous School program team.
