Introducing Water First’s New Operations Hub
We’re expanding our centre of operations in Creemore, Ontario! As demand for our programming continues to grow, the Operations Hub will give us the space, organization, and long-term stability we need to keep pace.
What is the Operations Hub?
The Operations Hub will serve as Water First’s main organizational centre, an all-in-one space for operations, administration, and program coordination. This will include:
Equipment storage
Space to organize the tools we use when delivering water science training and education programs in Indigenous communities across Canada. As our programs have grown, so has the amount of specialized gear – testing kits, teaching aids, field equipment, and more – that needs to be easily accessible at all times.
Workspaces and meeting rooms for staff collaboration
Our team is growing, and we need more flexible spaces for planning workshops, hosting training sessions, coordinating community projects, or simply working side by side.
Vehicle storage and equipment loading
Our work takes us out on the road (and sometimes the water) almost constantly. The Operations Hub will offer a space to store our vehicles and to load the equipment we take with us to our partner communities.
A home in Creemore
Creemore has been part of Water First’s story since day one. Water First has grown significantly in the past 14 years, changing locations several times to keep up with the demands of our growing organization. And while growth is something we’re proud of, it’s also highlighted logistical challenges.
The Operations Hub will increase our capacity to continue delivering impactful training programs, give us room to grow into the future, and keep us at home in Creemore.

Our mission at Water First is to work in partnership with Indigenous communities to address local water challenges through education, training and meaningful collaboration. We partner with Indigenous communities that have identified training and education as one part of the solution to the clean water crisis. And our strategic vision is to collaborate with any Indigenous community across the country that sees value in our programming.
