The health and well-being of First Nations communities is a top priority at Water First (COVID-19)

We recognize the devastating effects that COVID-19 could have on First Nations communities.

Where many drinking water challenges persist and available resources can be stretched thinly even at the best of times — especially in remote locations. The importance of working with our community partners has never been so clear.

Water First will be postponing all community visits

Our staff will also be working from home. We acknowledge the impacts these decisions will have on our work and we do not take these steps lightly.

In the coming weeks and months, we had planned to be in many First Nations communities across Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Labrador. Obviously, given recent events, we need to take a step back and determine how we’ll adapt and deliver our programs.

In the weeks ahead, we promise to share the highlights and challenges we’re facing as we adapt to this quickly evolving crisis.

We want to hear from you, please reach out if you have any questions

Let’s keep the momentum going

We work to ensure that everyone has the option to wash their hands with clean water. Now more than ever, you can be part of the solution for clean water for First Nations communities.   Please donate now.
