Dallas Goodfellow was born in Sault Ste. Marie, and moved to Aundeck Omni Kaning (AOK) when he was in Grade 3. He had a job at the AOK water treatment plant while he was in high school, and has worked since high school at a local fish farm.
The Water First Internship came along at a good time. Tired of “workin’ like a dog” at the fish farm, Dallas was looking for a new direction. The training he’s received in the program so far has him excited.
“It’s interesting, I like it,” he said of the water treatment work. Upon finishing the internship, Dallas has enrolled in the pre-trades program at Cambrian College and hopes to eventually obtain a diploma in civil engineering or environmental science.
